CamMicLink for iOS, iPadOS and macOS · Last updated 25 October 2026
The short version. Use the app for what it is meant for, buy what you want through Apple, don't redistribute the app or the content you receive with it, and understand that it comes without a warranty.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Oscar Zhou ("we", "us") for the use of the CamMicLink apps for iOS, iPadOS and macOS (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
Where Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies to your download, these terms sit alongside it; where they conflict, the stricter of the two applies to the extent permitted by law.
2. Licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store rules. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer or redistribute the App, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
3. What the App does
CamMicLink captures video and audio on an iPhone or iPad and streams them to the Mac app over the same local network, where they can be consumed by other applications through a virtual camera and a virtual microphone. The App does not provide any server, storage or relay service, and it does not work across the internet.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
- Payment. All purchases are made through your Apple account and are subject to Apple's terms. We never receive your payment details.
- Yearly plans. Subscription products (VIP, Video Mosaic, Voice Changer, 3D Avatar) renew automatically for another year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can cancel at any time in your Apple account settings; the features stay available until the paid period runs out.
- Lifetime purchases. One-time purchases unlock the feature on all platforms covered by Universal Purchase and do not expire.
- SVIP. SVIP unlocks VIP and all current add-on packs, and any paid feature we add later. Users who already own lifetime items may be offered a reduced-price SVIP upgrade instead of the full price; the entitlement is identical.
- Restoring. Purchases can be restored from the purchase screen at any time, at no cost.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled by Apple under the policies of the store where you bought the App or the in-app purchase. We cannot issue or reverse a charge ourselves. If something is broken, contact us first — we would rather fix it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to:
- capture or stream people without the consent required by the law where you are;
- break any law, or infringe anyone's privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights;
- interfere with networks or devices you are not authorised to use.
You are responsible for the content you capture and for telling people when they are being recorded, where the law requires it.
7. Virtual camera and microphone components
The virtual microphone is a macOS audio driver published by us (CamMicLink Microphone). It is distributed as a separate, signed and notarised installer from this site and is not part of the App Store download; once installed it is a system audio device that any application may record from, so keep it removed or uninstalled if you do not need it. The virtual camera is a macOS system extension that ships with the Mac app and must be enabled by you in System Settings. Both components are covered by these terms; we do not warrant that every third-party application will accept them.
8. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, that a stream will always be delivered, or that every combination of device, network and third-party application will work.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost recordings, lost profits or lost data, arising from the use of or inability to use the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's App Store terms govern the download, installation and billing of the App.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the current version is always published on this page with its date. If a change is material, it will also be mentioned in the App's release notes. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end support for a version of the App when it can no longer be maintained.
12. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory law of your own country.
